different feeders for different birds

I'm sure most of you know that birds, like people, have their own preference of what birdfeeder they like as well as the type of seed in it. My favorite one is the goldfinch feeder. I'ts always very busy at my house. I have quite a few goldfinches that use it for their hangout. It is filled with thistle seed. They love it. They are also attracted to the cone flowers in my garden. They have similar seeds in pods in the center of each flower. Some days I just sit in my swing and watch all of the quick, bright yellow birds darting around. They are so pretty.

Birdhouses

Hi again. I thought I'd talk about birdhouses. I have them everywhere in my yard. I put as many close to my gardens as I can because the birds help to keep the insect population down.
They also serve as garden decor. My family and I just love to watch the birds franticly feeding their young or building their nests. It's also nice to watch them coming and going from the houses in the winter when there's not much else going on except the snow falling. Indiana can be real nasty in the winter. I need to buy some more to replace the ones that have worn out . guess I'll have to visit allgonetothebirds.com myself.

All gone to the birds

all gone to the birds
Hi everyone, This blog is for the birds. They deserve one don't they? I am hoping all the bird lovers out there will help with hint's, suggestions, and of course their own stories that pertain to our feathered friends. I am new at this so please excuse any mistakes I may make.

As you may have noticed by the bean field in the background I live in the country. There are a lot of birds out here in the boonies, as well as a lot of wildlife. I love it. I also have alot of room to plant and decorate outside. Well, I did have, I'm running out now.But that's o.k. The scenery is great.
